By taking part in the Elsie’s Story Ride Challenge, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
1. SELF-DIRECTED RIDE
The Elsie’s Story Ride Challenge is a non-marshalled, self-directed motorcycle challenge. There is no organised convoy, prescribed start time, lead rider, following rider or controlled route.
Riders may start from wherever and whenever they choose and are responsible for planning their own journey between the designated waypoints.
2. RIDING TOGETHER
Riders are welcome to ride with friends, family, clubs or other participants. However, any decision to ride together is entirely voluntary and is undertaken at the riders’ own risk.
The organisers do not form, lead, control or supervise any riding group.
3. WAYPOINTS
The organisers provide a number of suggested waypoints for riders to visit as part of the challenge.
Waypoints are destinations only and no specific route is prescribed or required. Riders are responsible for determining their own routes, start times, fuel stops, food stops and rest breaks.
Riders must take appropriate care when stopping at any waypoint and must not obstruct or endanger other road users, pedestrians, businesses or members of the public.
4. RIDER & MOTORCYCLE RESPONSIBILITY

6. CLOTHING, PATCHES & SIGNS
Participants must not display or brandish anything that is unlawful or reasonably likely to cause offence, intimidation, alarm or distress to members of the public.
7. WEATHER & SAFETY
Participants are responsible for making their own assessment of weather and road conditions before and during their ride.
The organisers and/or Elsie’s Story Charity reserve the right to postpone, cancel or amend the challenge where circumstances, including adverse weather, create significant safety concerns.
Where a future date is arranged following postponement, participants may be transferred to the rearranged event in accordance with the event’s arrangements.
8. NO SUPERVISION OR CONTROL
The organisers and Elsie’s Story Charity do not supervise, escort, marshal, direct or control riders while they are undertaking the challenge.

Elsie's Story
"In July 2024, our world was shattered when we lost Elsie in the most tragic circumstances during the Southport attack. That day changed our lives forever, leaving our family broken.
We have established Elsie’s Story to continue her legacy and to spread smiles as big as hers. We refuse to let what happened define our little girl or our town. Instead, we choose to respond with love and positivity, the same love Elsie brought to us and those around her.
Elsie’s Story allows us to turn heartbreak into hope, bringing joy to other children. Our charity was founded to make grants in Elsie’s name, supporting young people and helping children in the community includes funding local projects, providing medical care and support to families and individuals, and contributing to causes that bring people together through joy-filled activities.
We are determined to make a difference. With your support, we can turn our vision into real, meaningful change. Together, we can continue writing the pages of Elsie’s Story, carrying forward her kindness, hope, and generosity."
